Bohème 2020

Under the name „Bohème 2020“, young artists of various nationalities and different art genres such as visual and performing arts, video art, dance, literature and music have come together since 2014 during the Music Festival.  The „Bohème 2020“ fill spaces for spontaneity within the festival with a self-curated program. The energy of creative exchange and the authenticity of the expression that artists encounter with each other as well as with the audience are impressive and demonstrate the great potential and power of this particular format.
According to various joint performances from 2014 to 2016, 2017 was a challenge for artists to supplement the concert performance of Beethoven’s opera „Leonore“ with personal commentary and perspectives in their final concert, and establish a connection to our time. In 2018, the artists created a performance that reflects their own comments on the motto “Spiegel“ in various venues prior to the concerts. In 2019, the two dancers Mareike Jung (D) and Caroline Alves (BRA) return and together with the musician and media artist Maria Antonia Schmidt (D) and the young exceptional pianist Tiffany Poon (USA) the „Bohème 2020“ will find new and exciting forms of artistic expressions.
